History
The first abbey was founded in 6th century.
The abbey church was built in 11th and 12th century. From this period the western fassade with it's towers and porch are conserved.
After a fire at the end of 12th century the building was rebuilt in gothic style from 1225 to 1301.
Description
Church of the former benedictine abbey of Marmoutier.
Remarkable are the western facade with it's towers and the porch from romanesque period.
